• Bits 16-1 (H): Heading

Resolution:

• Ground Speed: LSB = 2^-14 NM/s (approx. 0.22 knots)
• Heading: LSB = 360/(2^16) deg = approx. 0.0055 deg

Range:

• Ground Speed: -512 to +511.999 NM/s
• Heading: 0 to 359.9949 deg (0 deg = North, clockwise)
