Detailed Description

Raytheon ASR-10SS MKII vendor-specific content of I001/130 Radar Plot Characteristics.

Format:

Variable length Data Item, extendible, one octet + up to three extension octets (4 octets in total)

Structure (Primary Subfield):

• Bit 8 (MNT): Test Maintenance report (1=radar in maintenance, 0=operational)
• Bit 7 (PE): Permanent Echo (1=plot is a permanent echo)
• Bit 6 (WET): Weather edge (1=plot is near a weather edge)
• Bit 5 (RAG): RAG cell (1=target is in RAG cell)
• Bit 4 (A3): Plot is eligible for amplitude threshold editing
• Bit 3 (AAZ): Plot is in active amplitude threshold zone (zone 4)
• Bit 2 (AEO): Plot is exempt from editing (PSR solo plot edit override zone)
• Bit 1 (FX): Field extension indicator

Structure (First Extension):

• Bits 8-2: Plot mean amplitude, LSB = 1 dB (0-127 dB, relative to a 23.7 dB nominal noise floor)
• Bit 1 (FX): Field extension indicator

Structure (Second Extension):

• Bit 8 (SPL): Split flag (1=split plot)
• Bits 7-5: Cluster range files (0-7, LSB = 1 range file = 1/16 nmi)
• Bits 4-2: Cluster predominant filter (0-4, not valid for split clusters)
• Bit 1 (FX): Field extension indicator

Structure (Third Extension):

• Bit 8 (NT): No Tags present (1=Tracking Eligibility / Plot Confidence fields are not meaningful)
• Bit 7 (RE): Range Extent of 1 within x nmi is tagged
• Bits 6-5 (TrkElig): Tracking Eligibility
• Bits 4-2 (Conf): Plot Confidence (0-7)
• Bit 1 (FX): Field extension indicator (0=end of Data Item)

Note

903 is an internal data item number; it is displayed to users as I001/130. The standard I001/130 (application dependent bits) is left unchanged. Selected by a dedicated UAP.
