Measured position of an aircraft in local polar coordinates.

Format:

Four-octet fixed length Data Item

Structure:

• RHO (2 octets): Distance from radar station
• THETA (2 octets): Azimuth angle from radar station

Resolution:

• RHO: 1/128 NM (approx 14.5 meters)
• THETA: 360/2^16 deg (approx 0.0055 degrees)

Units:

• RHO: nautical miles (nm)
• THETA: degrees
