Detailed Description

Monoradar service message processing.

Overview:
Category 002 is used for the transmission of information related to the status and services of a radar station. The messages are used for:
  • Synchronization of processing systems to the radar scan (North and Sector Marker Messages)
  • Exchange of data related to the status and problems of the sensor

These messages allow the time-stamping of target reports at the radar station site and provide information on radar station status and configuration. CAT002 has been replaced by CAT034 in newer implementations.

Message Types (I002/000):
  • 1: North Marker - Indicates antenna crossing North azimuth
  • 2: Sector Crossing - Indicates crossing of sector boundary
  • 3: South Marker - Indicates antenna crossing South azimuth (optional)
  • 8: Blind Zone Filtering Start - Start of blind zone filtering
  • 9: Blind Zone Filtering Stop - Stop of blind zone filtering
